What types of fundraisers does The Savory Kernel do?
Order Forms - This one is the most common and what a lot of organizations are used to.
- We (or you) will create a sheet that multiple people in your organization can use to go out and collect orders of popcorn.
- Choose the amount of flavors and sizes you want to sell.
- Choose how long you want to keep the fundraiser open. Once we get to the final date we collect all the orders.
- The Savory Kernel will then make all the bags, seal them, and place a customized label for your organization on the bags thanking the recipient for helping support!
- The organization will pay for the bags (with a discount) and will be able to keep the rest of the funds for their organization!
Online Site -
- We are still working on this but would love to try this out with an organization that is ready. Our goal is to have a webpage on our site for any organization that wants to run a fundraiser. The organization would choose time frame to keep the fundraiser open and pass out the link to their fundraising page. From this page, users would be able to order popcorn from The Savory Kernel where a % of the sale would go back to the organization. This would be tracked on the site as well!
How much can our organization make fundraising with The Savory Kernel?
- A recent church group did a fundraiser with us that ran for 3 weeks. They chose 10 different flavors and on did 1 size bag (mediums). They passed out their sheets and had participants get their orders together for those 3 weeks. Their fundraiser collecting 205 bags worth of orders. At the end of the fundraiser they made $1,167.25 for their church group.
- Another recent group did theirs for 2 weeks. They chose 10 flavors but 3 different size bags to sell. They received orders for 110 total bags. They ended up raising $824.60 for their group when all was done!
These just recent examples of fundraisers we've done! The amount a fundraiser will make will be mostly based on the amount of orders they receive as well as the pricing they end up choosing. These are things we can talk about when we set up your fundraiser.
